Reaching young musicians at every stage of their development.
Next Gen 2024 introduces talented young musicians to ECU faculty artists, Next Gen artists (our alumni!), current ECU students, and guest artists during two days of intensive study and music-making. Next Gen master classes, career discussions, rehearsals, and side-by-side performances provide unforgettable musical experiences, and the passion with which they are presented ensures life-changing mentorship.

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis and until all spots are filled. Space is is limited. Apply as as possible early for maximum consideration.
WHAT DO PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE?

APPLICATION INFO & AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
- Applications open: Sept 3
- Application deadline: Oct 1
- Instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass
- Students from 6th grade through 12th grade are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must submit a video of up to 10 minutes of music that best represents their current level to be considered for participation.
- The recording submission can be one or two selections.
- All submissions must be a YouTube link. We recommend that the link be a private link.
- All recordings must have been made in the past 12 months.
- A limited number of participants will be chosen.
- Applicants will be considered until all spots are filled. Space is limited. Apply as early as possible for maximum consideration!
- Applicants can apply in one or both cities. (Please note: A separate application fee must be submitted for each city.)
